Mazkur maqolada multimedia korpuslarida axborot qidiruv tizimlarini loyihalash va takomillashtirishning ilmiy-nazariy, metodologik va amaliy asoslari tahlil qilinadi. Multimedia korpusi matn, audio, video, tasvir, nutq, mimika, jest, vaqt belgisi, transkripsiya va metama’lumotlarni birlashtirgan murakkab axborot-lingvistik tizim sifatida qaraladi. An’anaviy matnli korpuslarda qidiruv jarayoni asosan so‘z, lemma, grammatik belgi va kontekstga tayansa, multimedia korpuslarida qidiruv matniy, akustik, vizual, semantik va pragmatik belgilarni uyg‘un holda qayta ishlashni talab etadi
