Ushbu maqolada tasdiq va inkor nutqiy aktlarining lingvopragmatik tabiati nazariy jihatdan tahlil qilinadi. Tadqiqot pragmatika, nutqiy akt nazariyasi, assertion, implicature va negation haqidagi asosiy ilmiy qarashlarga tayangan holda olib boriladi. Maqolaning maqsadi tasdiq va inkorning faqat grammatik kategoriya emas, balki kommunikativ niyat, illokutiv kuch, kontekst va intersubyektiv munosabatlar bilan bog‘liq murakkab pragmatik hodisa ekanini ko‘rsatishdan iborat. Natijada tasdiq va inkor nutqiy aktlarini tahlil qilish uchun nazariy asos bo‘ladigan konseptual model taklif etiladi.
