Abstract

The field of education is rich with terminology that shapes our understanding of teaching and learning practices. From terms like "progressive education" to "assessment strategies," pedagogical terminology plays a crucial role in guiding educators' approaches to instruction. However, the meaning and significance of these terms are often influenced by historical, cultural, and linguistic factors.This article explores the historical-pedagogical and linguocultural directions of developing the issues of pedagogical terminology. By delving into the historical roots of educational theories and practices, as well as the impact of language and culture on the interpretation of pedagogical terms, we can gain a more comprehensive understanding of educational concepts. By considering both the historical background and cultural context of pedagogical terminology, we can enhance our communication and collaboration within the field of education, ultimately promoting more inclusive and culturally responsive teaching and learning practices.
